A Wedding in Ancient Rome
Wout and Marieke didn’t just throw a wedding—they staged a story. Set in the Roman street of Museumpark Orientalis, their celebration felt like a delightful fusion: part historical epic, part scout camp reunion.
They are wonderfully funny, nerdy, and heartfelt people—two characters who could have met in a board game, but actually found each other through scouting. Surrounded by friends and family, they said yes to a life together that will be, at the very least, never boring.
These photos capture a slice of that day: the rituals, the joy, and the unguarded absurdity that makes love feel real.
